WMO awarded multi-million EUR contract to GRAW
After detailed evaluation of all tenders, WMO finally awarded the contract for the replacement of all 15 Upper Air Sounding Stations of the Mexican Metservice including consumables for multiple years to GRAW.

Unwinder UW2
The unwinder (dereeler) UW2 is designed to facilitate the launching of lightweight radiosondes (such as the DFM-09 and DFM-06) under all weather conditions. The UW2 is connected between the radiosonde and the balloon by a cord which slowly increases its length after release of the balloon. The unwinding speed of the cord is controlled by a small rubber balloon which acts as a brake.
